Do you still live at the shallow end?

Shallow End

Everyone is upside down and everything’s so strange,

Afraid of being drowned by them in his own world’s end.

The surface is too far away, above you only mud.

Other men in history approved just their own blood.

This is what will come to you if you don’t understand.

Power is the awful fiend who seems to be your friend,

Who lies down gently in your bed and makes your dreams come true,

The only question that remains: “Is it really you?”

Will you be stronger, to fight the sense of time?

Do you end up in the deep or at the shallow end?

Will you be stronger to change the dimly sky?

Please don’t get into deep. Stay at the shallow end.

Have you now got anything to strive sincerely for?

Will you be the only one that blames the world for good?

Your reflection’s sarky smile rules the Everglades,

And you sell it to the earth as your treasured aids.

You will help the world without your plans behind the doors.

No one gets the strategy to send the youth to war.

Look at the horizon, enjoy the sandy shore.

Stop to play the innocent of some antique folklore!

Will you be stronger, to fight the sense of time?

Do you end up in the deep or at the shallow end?

Will you be stronger to change the dimly sky?

Please don’t get into deep. Stay at the shallow end.
